Fresno Police Make Arrest in Connection with Shooting That Injured 93-Year-Old Woman

FRESNO, CA — “On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 02:29 am, Fresno Police Officers assigned to the Southeast Policing District responded to a residence near South Holloway Avenue and East Grove Avenue for a victim of a gunshot wound. The victim, a 93-year-old female, was in her bedroom when she was struck by gunfire three times to her lower body, and the residence had been struck 12 times.  The victim was transported to CRMC for her injuries, and thankfully, was released from the hospital a week after the shooting.

Detectives were able to positively identify 23-year-old Adrian Meza, as the suspect in the shooting of the 93-year-old victim. On September 4, 2026, A Fresno FAX officer was flagged down during a non-related road‑rage incident.   Suspect Meza was contacted during that incident and taken into custody without incident. Meza was booked at the Fresno County Jail and his bail is being held at over two million dollars.”
