FINLEY, CA — Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 38-year-old Finley resident on the afternoon of Thursday August 20th, in connection with a grass fire on Hill Lane.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on August 20, 2026, deputies responded to reports of a grass fire in Finley. Neighboring residents informed responding officers that Keith Miller had allegedly fired a mortar or firearm near dry vegetation on the property prior to the fire.
Fire personnel contained the blaze while deputies attempted to establish contact with Miller. Following the issuance of a search warrant, deputies located Miller inside a detached garage, where he initially refused to exit.
