Yuba City Man Arrested Following Multi-Location Narcotics and Firearms Seizure

YUBA CITY, CA — Law enforcement officers arrested a 31-year-old Yuba City resident on Tuesday following search warrant executions across two regional properties, seizing narcotics, weapons, and currency.

On August 18, 2026, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) agents, supported by Yuba City Police Department personnel, served search warrants at residences on the 100 block of Main Street in Yuba City and the 1100 block of F Street in Marysville as part of an investigation into local drug trafficking.

During the search, authorities confiscated 688.79 grams of methamphetamine, 1,587 fentanyl pills, 44.3 grams of cocaine HCL, 78.91 grams of heroin, 31 prescription opioid pills, and 11.5 alprazolam bars. Officers also recovered 10 firearms, ammunition, digital scales, packaging supplies, and $3,006 in U.S. currency.

Officers arrested Daniel Cortez, 31, and booked him into the Sutter County Jail. Cortez faces charges including possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and additional narcotics violations.
