Driver Arrested Following Fatal Collision with Pedestrian on 6th Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco Police Department officers arrested 50-year-old Isaac Bowler of San Francisco on August 17, 2026, in connection with a fatal vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

The incident occurred on July 14, 2026, at approximately 4:07 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a collision on the 200 block of 6th Street, where they located an adult male suffering from life-threatening injuries. Responding officers and paramedics rendered aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital. The victim later died at the hospital from his injuries.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, which was taken over by the SFPD Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TCIU). Following their investigation, TCIU investigators established probable cause and took Bowler into custody on the 1900 block of Evans Avenue.

Bowler was arrested on charges including vehicular manslaughter (192(c)(2) PC), duty to exercise due care for a pedestrian (21954(b) CVC), and failure to provide proof of insurance (16028(c) CVC).
