SANTA MARIA, CA — August 17, 2026 — A Santa Maria man was arrested on multiple charges, including cocaine, stolen merchandise and a loaded gun.
A traffic stop on the afternoon of August 15 led to the arrests of Isidro Munoz Garcia, 40, of Santa Maria who was wanted on multiple arrest warrants.
Officers located a cache of cocaine, a loaded handgun and thousands of dollars in suspected stolen merchandise.
According to Lt. Trevor Shalhoob of the Santa Maria Police Department, Garcia was
wanted on six warrants tied to pending cases involving allegations that included petty
theft and possession of firearms and drugs.
When SMPD officers took Garcia into custody they found 4.7 grams of suspected
cocaine in his possession. At that point, the investigation then expanded to a storage
unit associated with Angelina Velasquez Fernandez, 46, also of Santa Maria.
A search of that storage unit led to the discovery of $2,300 in suspected stolen
merchandise, a loaded .380-caliber handgun, approximately 23 grams of suspected
cocaine, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and digital scales.
Fernandez was herself subsequently arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses
involving narcotics, firearms, ammunition and stolen property.
Both Garcia and Fernandez were transported to the Santa Barbara County Northern Branch Jail with her
bail set at $50,000, while Garcia is being held without bail.
