Modesto Police Department Arrests 12 Following CyberTibs & NCMEC Operation
MODESTO, CA — Over the past several months, the Modesto Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit conducted a series of investigations stemming from CyberTip reports submitted by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The operation was carried out in coordination with the Oakdale Police Department and the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement personnel executed 12 residential search warrants throughout the area. The operation resulted in the arrest of 12 individuals, the identification of five victims, and the recovery of three firearms, one of which was confirmed stolen. Additionally, one associated case was submitted to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office for formal filing consideration.
The individuals arrested during the operation were identified as:

- Marcos Deras, 20
- Francisco Deras, 44
- Kevin Hornback, 41
- Victor Jimenez, 34
- Nicholas Sukhu, 31
- Aerik Hayes, 25
Charges filed in connection with the operation include possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, sexual battery, invasion of privacy, receiving stolen property, and weapons offenses. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
