Vallejo Man Arrested After Returning to Scene of Solano County Health & Social Services Building Burglary

VALLEJO, CA — “The Solano County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau and CONNECT team has arrested a Vallejo man for the burglary of the Solano County Health and Social Services building located at 365 Tuolumne Street.

Deputies began investigating the burglary after county employees discovered several items had been stolen from the building, including county-issued laptops, keys, an iPhone, video conferencing equipment, and blank Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards.

Through the investigation, detectives identified Luis Raul Avila, 32, of Vallejo, as the suspect. Avila was later located and arrested at the Health and Social Services building when he returned to the scene of the crime.

Detectives subsequently served a search warrant at Avila’s residence in Vallejo, where they recovered all of the stolen county property from his backpack.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.”
