Authorities Arrest Two Red Bluff Men Following Separate Child Sexual Abuse Investigations

RED BLUFF, CA — The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two Red Bluff residents following separate, unrelated investigations into child sexual abuse and the manufacturing of child exploitation material.

On July 1, 2026, sheriff’s detectives arrested Thomas Dale Patrick Jr., 51, in the 15200 block of China Rapids Drive. The arrest concluded a seven-month investigation spanning multiple counties, which involved numerous victim and witness interviews, the execution of a search warrant, and digital forensic processing.

The Tehama County Superior Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Patrick containing 32 counts of child sex-related crimes. The charges include continuous sexual abuse of a child, sexual penetration with force or fear, sexual penetration of a child under 14, rape by force or fear, oral copulation through force or fear, and sexual penetration by a foreign object. Patrick was booked into the Tehama County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail.

Because Patrick has previously lived in various areas of Tehama County, Sacramento County, and Northern California, authorities are continuing to gather information. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to call Tehama County Sheriff’s Detective Kylee Stroing at 530-529-7920.

In a separate case announced on June 30, 2026, detectives arrested Dylan Allen Dayberg, 27, following an investigation into the manufacturing of child sexual abuse material within Tehama County.

On June 18, 2026, deputies detained Dayberg at his place of employment and subsequently served a search warrant at his residence in the 14500 block of Kinney Avenue. During the search, detectives located evidence supporting the exploitation charges, along with a firearm that violated California’s assault weapon and high-capacity magazine laws.

During law enforcement interviews, Dayberg admitted to manufacturing the child sexual abuse material and made additional statements supporting the allegations. He was booked into the Tehama County Jail on charges including lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, child abuse with possible gross bodily injury, possession and distribution of obscene material depicting a minor, utilizing an underage person for obscene material, and annoying or molesting a victim under 18.

The investigation into Dayberg remains active, and additional charges are expected. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
