ROHNERT PARK, CA –– Officers with the Rohnert Park Police Department recently arrested a motorist for their fourth alleged DUI offense after the driver reportedly struck a pole.
According to a press release by Rohnert Park police, officers responded to a report of “concerning driving behavior” at Raley’s Town Center. The driver, who had just left a nearby business, appeared to struggle finding their way out of the parking lot.
The driver allegedly struck a pole near La Petite Baleen Swim School, then left the area and proceeded to another parking lot, police said.
Officers made contact with the driver at the Safeway shopping center. The driver allegedly displayed signs of impairment and could not complete field sobriety tests. A preliminary screening of the driver’s blood returned a result of 0.213%, over 2.5 times the legal limit, police said.
The driver was then taken into custody. While their name was not released, police confirmed this marks the individual’s fourth DUI offense.
