Kings County Man Found Guilty of Sexually Abusing Two Children & Sentenced to 120 years to life
KINGS COUNTY, CA — “On April 3, 2026, in Department 8 of the Kings County Superior Court, Defendant, Carlos Yanez Cavazos, age 54, was found guilty of multiple lewd acts against two young children, a 4-year-old and her 5-year-old sister. The crimes against both children occurred around the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.
At the conclusion of the weeklong trial, the jury found Cavazos guilty of two counts of sexual penetration with a child 10 years of age or younger in violation of Penal Code Section 288.7(b); three counts of oral copulation with a child 10 years of age or younger in violation of Penal Code Section 288.7(b); and three counts of lewd acts against a child under the age of 14 years old, in violation of Penal Code Section 288(a).
The jury found true the special allegation that the lewd acts were committed against multiple victims and that the victims were particularly vulnerable.
On July 2, 2026, in Department 8 of the Kings County Superior Court, Carlos Cavazos was sentenced to 120 years to life in prison.
