Suspect Arrested in Connection to April Homicide on Devonwood Drive in Merced

MERCED, CA — “On 04-14-26, at approximately 9:30 PM, Merced Police Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Devonwood Drive for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located 28-year-old Marshay Wilson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began life-saving efforts; however, despite their efforts, Wilson was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Merced Police Detectives responded and assumed the investigation. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 24-year-old Ivan Gonzalez as one of the suspects involved in this homicide.

On 06-25-26, after an extensive investigation, Merced Police Detectives served multiple search warrants at various locations related to this case. As a result, Ivan Gonzalez was arrested and booked for conspiracy to commit murder.
