Napa Resident Arrested on Multiple Felony Sexual Offense and Parole Violation Allegations
NAPA, CA — The Napa County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau has arrested a 36-year-old Napa resident following an investigation into child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The investigation initiated one month prior after the department received a cyber tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) organization.
On June 24, 2026, detectives arrested the suspect, identified as Oscar Barrera Mendoza, at his place of employment. In conjunction with the arrest, Napa County Sheriff’s Detectives executed a search warrant at Mendoza’s residence located on Bellevue Avenue in Napa.
Records indicate that Mendoza was released from state prison earlier in 2026 and is currently on state parole for a felony conviction of communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense, in violation of California Penal Code Section 288.3 PC. Following his arrest, Mendoza was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections. He faces multiple felony charges, including 288.3 PC for communicating with a minor with intent to commit a sexual offense, 288.2(a) PC for sending harmful matter with intent of seduction of a minor, 311.11(c)(1) PC for possession of CSAM, and 3056 PC for a violation of parole.
