Sears consented to a search of the vehicle. During the subsequent search, deputies located a backpack that contained methamphetamine, a digital scale, packaging materials, and cash. Additional methamphetamine was discovered in a separate location within the vehicle. Deputies also recovered multiple cell phones and items of personal property belonging to Sears.

In total, law enforcement personnel seized approximately 113.67 grams, or four ounces, of methamphetamine, alongside $1,125 in cash and evidence consistent with the sale of narcotics.
