SANTA ANA, CA — On June 19, 2026, at approximately 6:15 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist at the intersection of Standard Avenue and Warner Avenue.
Officers and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) personnel responded to the scene, where they located the bicyclist, identified as 60-year-old Francois Primeau of Irvine, lying in the roadway with significant injuries. OCFA personnel pronounced Primeau deceased at the scene.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Primeau was riding his bicycle through the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Warner Avenue. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately following the collision.
