Rialto Police Utilize Technology to Apprehend Three Armed Robbery Suspects within 15 Minutes
RIALTO, CA — “Officers responded to a gas station in the 1900 block of N. Riverside Ave. regarding a robbery in progress involving a firearm.
Three suspects entered the business. One male suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier and the second male suspect stole cash from the register. The female suspect later drove the suspects away from the scene in a vehicle.
With the help of FUSUS, a system that provides officers with rapid access to security camera footage from participating locations, officers quickly developed investigative leads. With assistance from our Street Crime Attack Team, officers located the suspects and the involved vehicle 15 minutes later in the city of Fontana.
Officers recovered evidence from the vehicle, including the firearm used in the robbery, and returned the stolen money to the business.
