CAMARILLO, CA — June 6th 2026 — A months-long narcotics investigation has led to the arrest of an Oxnard woman after
detectives found suspected drugs, sales evidence and a loaded firearm during a search of
her residence.
Amy Nicole Trout, 34, of Oxnard was arrested following an investigation into “a suspected illicit narcotics dealer” believed to be operating in Camarillo, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Cmdr. Eric Tennessen,
During the investigation, detectives served “multiple search warrants” and gathered
evidence indicating Trout was selling illicit narcotics to Camarillo residents.
At about 1 p.m. May 29, detectives with the Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit
conducted a traffic stop on Trout’s vehicle and took her into custody. While that was
happening, detectives from the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit, Directed
Enforcement Unit and Camarillo Station served another search warrant at Trout’s
residence in Oxnard.
During that search, detectives discovered cocaine, psilocybin mushroom edibles,
marijuana and a loaded revolver that was not registered to Trout. She was transported to
Ventura County Jail and booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance with
a firearm, unlawful transfer of a firearm, and possession of controlled substances for
purposes of sale.
