Riverside Man Arrested for Sexual Battery on Mt. Rubidoux; Police Seek Potential Additional Victims
RIVERSIDE, CA-A 77-year-old man was arrested following a report of a sexual battery that occurred around the Mt. Rubidoux area on Monday, March 9, 2026.
The incident was reported to the Public Safety Communications Center at approximately 8:30 a.m. According to the subsequent investigation, the suspect, identified as Toai Pham of Riverside, routinely hikes Mt. Rubidoux during the morning hours. The victim reported that Pham approached her and touched her inappropriately without her consent.
Pham was taken into custody and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on sexual battery charges. He was subsequently released after posting a $5,000 bail.
Detectives state they believe there may be additional victims who have not yet reported similar encounters. Law enforcement officials encourage anyone who has seen Pham, or an individual matching his description, approaching women around the Mt. Rubidoux area to contact authorities.
