Davis Resident Arrested for Attempted Murder Following Downtown Stabbing Investigation
DAVIS, CA — The Davis Police Department has announced the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect in connection with a stabbing investigation that began on April 19, 2026, in the downtown area.
Through the course of their investigation, Davis Police detectives identified George Quintero-Chavez, a resident of Davis, as a suspect in the case. Officers located and apprehended Quintero-Chavez today following a brief pursuit involving both a vehicle and a foot chase. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained by the suspect, officers, or the public during the pursuit or the subsequent arrest.
Quintero-Chavez is scheduled to be booked at the Yolo County Jail. He faces felony charges of attempted murder and felony evasion of a peace officer.
