Atascadero Police Seek Public Assistance to Identify Subject in Vandalism Investigation

ATASCADERO, CA — The Atascadero Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying a person of interest related to a vandalism investigation. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the 6400 block of El Camino Real.

Investigators are asking residents and business owners to review surveillance footage recorded on April 15 between 4:45 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The department has identified specific areas of interest, including El Camino Real between Rosario Avenue and Morro Road, as well as Traffic Way and the downtown corridor, specifically Entrada Avenue, Palma Avenue, Lewis Avenue, West Mall, and East Mall.

The department is seeking any footage that may depict the subject in these areas during the specified timeframe. Individuals with information regarding the identity of the subject or available video evidence are encouraged to contact Corporal Craig Martineau at 805-470-3296 or via email. For immediate assistance, the public may contact the non-emergency dispatch line. All reports should reference case number 26-0612.
