Man Arrested Following a Standoff at Larkspur Isle Condominiums

LARKSPUR, CA  — A Larkspur resident with frequent contacts with police is behind bars again,
compounding his growing troubles with law enforcement in Marin County.

Kyle R. Miller, 34, was arrested on April 21 following an hours-long standoff at Larkspur Isle
Condominiums. Miller remains in custody on a probation hold, and in lieu of $50,000 bond,
pending his arraignment.

Central Marin Police Authority responded to a disturbance at 11:15 a.m., where Miller locked
himself inside a residence. Officers placed Miller under arrest at 3:42 p.m., when he
surrendered himself in a hallway.

Miller was booked for violating a protection order, resisting/obstructing an officer, and violation
of probation. The probation violation allegation stems from his March 2024 conviction for
battery. He was convicted for pushing a woman into a wall during an argument about a cell
phone.

This marks the second time this year that Miller has been arrested. CMPA arrested Miller on
January 14 in San Anselmo for public intoxication, and probation violation. He was allegedly
yelling at passersby near a downtown store, creating a disturbance.

For his actions in January, Miller was held at Marin County Jail for two days before being
released on his own recognizance.

CMPA detained Miller in San Anselmo in the same area on April 4, without arresting him. He
was reportedly intoxicated in the vicinity of the workplace of a relative with a protective order
prohibiting him from being nearby.

Both incidents in San Anselmo occurred on the same block. Based on his probation status
and frequent contacts with police, Miller has been described as willfully and repeatedly
violating court leniency.
