Madera Police Allegedly Find Loaded AR-Style Handgun During Traffic Stop; Two Arrested
MADERA, CA — Madera police recently arrested a man after allegedly catching him with a loaded AR-style gun during a traffic stop. An individual accompanying him was also arrested on a felony warrant.
According to a press release by the Madera Police Department, an officer pulled over a vehicle on the morning of Saturday, April 11.
During the stop, the officer discovered that the driver, identified as 21-year-old Anthony Ocampo Jr., was in possession of an AR pistol loaded with a 30-round magazine.
A second individual who was with Ocampo, identified as 50-year-old Hector Martinez, was also arrested in connection with a felony assault that occurred the previous month.
Both were booked into the Madera County jail on multiple felony charges, police said.
