Detectives Release Composite Sketches in 2007 Rancho Cucamonga Cold Case
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Homicide detectives with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have released composite sketches of potential suspects in a cold case investigation dating back to 2007. The specialized Investigations Division recently reopened the case regarding the death of 36-year-old Eliseo Salas following the discovery of new evidence.
The original incident occurred on July 15, 2007, when deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a shooting at a large party near London Avenue and Jersey Boulevard. Upon arrival, deputies found that Salas, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga, had been shot. He was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators utilized witness descriptions to create the newly released sketches. Detectives Matthew Lee and Sergeant Nicholas Clark are leading the renewed effort to identify the individuals pictured. The department is seeking additional witnesses or anyone with information related to the party or the suspects involved.
