Stockton Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Fatal Shooting on April 7
STOCKTON, CA — Police have arrested an individual in connection with a fatal shooting on Pacific Avenue earlier this week.
According to a press release by the Stockton Police Department, officers responded early on the morning of Tuesday, April 7, to the 7600 block of Pacific Ave. to investigate a report of someone being shot.
Officers arrived on scene and, in a back alley, reportedly located a 42-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Detectives have since identified the primary suspect in the shooting as Trung Nguyen, 42.
On Wednesday, April 8, authorities located and arrested Nguyen without incident. He was later booked at the San Joaquin County jail on suspicion of homicide.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
