Narcotics and Child Abuse Arrests Following Spring Valley Search Warrant

SAN DIEGO, CA – Detectives from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Office assisted Child Welfare Services (CWS) in the execution of a search warrant on the 9000 block of Eucalyptus Street in Spring Valley on April 7, 2026. The operation, which commenced shortly after 2:00 p.m., resulted in the detention and subsequent arrest of three residents located inside the home.

The individuals were identified as 31-year-old Karina Rice, 67-year-old Diann Whitt, and 30-year-old Jarron Wood. During the search of the premises, law enforcement officials recovered quantities of cocaine, methamphetamines, and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. These items were reportedly located throughout the residence.

Following the discovery of the controlled substances, Rice, Whitt, and Wood were arrested on charges related to child abuse and narcotics possession. During the detention process, authorities determined that Wood had an active bookable misdemeanor arrest warrant. A search of his person revealed he was in possession of 7.17 grams of methamphetamines. Wood was subsequently booked into the San Diego Central Jail.
