Korbel Man Arrested for Alleged Assault with Firearm & Violation of Restraining Order in Fort Bragg Incident
FORT BRAGG, CA — A Mendocino County man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly threatening an elderly man while armed and violating a restraining order.
According to a press release by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on the night of Saturday, April 11, to the 3100 block of Johnson Ln. to investigate a report of a man brandishing a firearm.
Deputies contacted the victim, a 64-year-old man, who reported that another man, identified as 39-year-old Anthony Lowe of Korbel CA, had arrived at the victim’s residence and threatened him while displaying a firearm in an “assaultive” manner.
Lowe then allegedly left the scene and drove to a home on Mill Creek Drive, where he allegedly made contact with two juvenile males whom he is prohibited from contacting due to a standing restraining order, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to the Mill Creek Drive home and reportedly discovered Lowe just as he was coming out of the residence. They detained him without incident and, because he had been reported to be armed, conducted a search of the vehicle. Deputies reportedly found a loaded .44 caliber magnum revolver in the passenger compartment.
During an interview, Lowe acknowledged the restraining order and declined to provide information about the alleged firearm incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies ultimately determined the two incidents were related, and placed Lowe under arrest on suspicion of assault with a firearm, possessing a firearm while subject to a restraining order, and violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
Lowe was reportedly booked at the Mendocino County jail at 11:19pm 04/11/26, however he was released on a $30,000 bail bond at 2:22pm 04/12/26.
