Crescent City CSAM Investigation: 31 Year-Old Man Arrested

CRESCENT CITY, CA — “On 3-26-2026, the Crescent City Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Le Clair Avenue in Crescent City regarding a possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) investigation. CCPD Sergeant Pearson and Detective Miller were assigned to the investigation.

During the execution of the warrant, Investigators located almost 3000 files of child sexual abuse imagery on devices that were seized pursuant to the warrant. This led to the arrest of Levi Levitt (age 31) of Crescent City, who was a current resident at the location.

During the course of the investigation, evidence was discovered that Levitt had also sexually abused at least one younger child on multiple occasions at the same location. Levitt also admitted to these crimes.

Levitt was initially booked into the Del Norte County Jail for violation of possession and distribution of Child Sexual Assault Material, a violation of 311.11 of the California Penal Code. Investigators are actively following up on the additional information that was uncovered during the warrant as well. The Crescent City Police Department is working with the Del Norte County District Attorney’s Office for further charges to be added when Levitt is arraigned later this week.

The Crescent City Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit remains committed to investigating all incidents of child sexual abuse in the community and working in partnership with other allied agencies.”
