Two Los Angeles Residents Arrested Following Irvine Package Theft and Property Damage
IRVINE, CA — Two residents of Los Angeles were taken into custody yesterday following reports of mail theft and property damage at an apartment complex in Irvine. The incident began at The Park at Irvine Spectrum Apartments when a United States Postal Service mail carrier observed two individuals allegedly removing packages that did not belong to them.
According to law enforcement reports, the suspects fled the immediate area on foot through the apartment community’s landscaped grounds after being noticed. This action resulted in what authorities described as significant damage to the vegetation and surrounding property. Responding officers later located a vehicle associated with the suspects at The Marketplace shopping center.
The two individuals were observed attempting to leave the area in a summoned rideshare vehicle. Officers intercepted the vehicle and detained both occupants. A subsequent search of the suspects’ original vehicle led to the recovery of stolen packages and other property.
The suspects have been identified as 48-year-old Adrien Jarrell and 42-year-old Darcel Williams. Jarrell was booked on charges of burglary, conspiracy, vandalism, and narcotics offenses. Williams was arrested on charges of burglary and conspiracy. Both individuals were transported to the Orange County Jail to await their scheduled court appearances.
