Suspect Arrested in Relation to Armed Assault on Spring Street in Paso Robles
PASO ROBLES, CA — The Paso Robles Police Department recently reported the arrest of a 31-year-old man following an investigation into an assault with a deadly weapon involving a firearm. According to a department press release, the incident originated on March 5, 2026, at approximately 9:55 PM in the 3300 block of Spring Street.
Officers responded to reports that a male suspect had pointed a handgun at another individual’s head and made a verbal threat against the victim’s life. The victim was able to leave the area without sustaining physical injuries. While the suspect initially fled the scene and was not immediately located, detectives continued the investigation.
On March 8, 2026, authorities identified the suspect as 31 year old Irvin Hernandez of Paso Robles. After determining his location, investigators obtained an arrest warrant and a search warrant for an apartment in the 3400 block of Spring Street. At approximately 3:00 PM, the San Luis Obispo Regional SWAT Team assisted in serving the warrants.
For safety purposes, a section of the apartment complex was evacuated during the operation. Hernandez was taken into custody without incident, and officials confirmed that no injuries were reported during the arrest.
