Drugs Hidden Under the Hood

“Just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop for a violation. During the stop, they learned the driver, 29-year-old Quentin Lay of Olivehurst, was on searchable probation.

Deputies searched the vehicle and located about ΒΌ pound of methamphetamine. The location of the drugs was unusual. They were concealed inside a magnetic box attached under the hood of the vehicle.

Great work by the deputies on scene who located the hidden stash. During the search, they also found scales and multiple phones inside the vehicle.

Lay and the passenger, 27-year-old Sierra Toledo of Olivehurst, were arrested and booked into jail on felony charges including transporting a controlled substance for sale between counties, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and conspiracy to commit a crime.”
