SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — FEBRUARY 20TH 2026
The San Luis Obispo Police Department has reported an arrest following a single-vehicle traffic collision that occurred Sunday night on Orcutt Road. According to department officials, a vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a railing situated above a creek culvert, just past the intersection of Laurel Lane.
Following an investigation at the scene, the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. Although the driver sustained minor injuries during the crash, they reportedly refused medical treatment at the site. The individual was subsequently transported and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
The police department utilized the incident to remind the public of the legal consequences associated with impaired driving.
