Man from Columbus, Indiana, accused of sending lewd images to SLO County minor

A man who lives in Indiana has been arrested after allegedly sending obscene photos to an underage victim in San Luis Obispo County, authorities say.

Back in September, SLO County deputies learned that a local minor had been contacted and sent lewd images through an unspecified online gaming platform. Investigators with the County’s Counter Human Trafficking Team assumed the investigation and identified 20-year-old Jordan Fields of Columbus, Indiana, as the person who’d sent the images.

Investigators then coordinated with FBI offices in both California and Indiana, as well as the local Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana, in an effort to make contact with Fields.

On November 13, Fields was interviewed and arrested on suspicion of child exploitation and possession of child pornography.
