Burglary Suspect Thrashed Salon

San Luis Obispo police have arrested a man for burglary, false imprisonment and vandalism.

Bluebird Salon

According to SLOPD, officers responded about 9 p.m. to the 700 block of Marsh Street to the report of male breaking windows at businesses.

Police say the suspect Samuel Dabill, 33, of San Luis Obispo threw himself against several windows of businesses but did not cause damage to those businesses.

Dabill then approached a female getting into her car in the 700 Block of Marsh and forced his way into the vehicle. The victim said pushed Dabill out of the car, and then he approached the Bluebird Salon, 722 Marsh Street.

Dabill overturned a couple of large pots in front of the salon and then he entered the salon and threw a glass shelf full of product onto the floor.

Police say Dabill continued to throw products, chairs, and display items around the business.

All of the employees fled out of the business and were not injured.

After causing a couple of thousand dollars of damage to the business, Dabill fled from the scene on foot.

Witnesses followed the suspect and alerted officers to his location. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Dabill was booked into county jail for burglary, false imprisonment and felony vandalism. His bail was $20,000.
