LAFAYETTE — A multi-agency collaboration culminated in the arrests of two bank robbery
suspects on February 17.

Jarmaya Tillman, 23, of Antioch, and Allen Foster, 20, of Oakland, allegedly
robbed a bank in Alamo, and attempted a robbery outside a bank in Lafayette.

Tillman and Foster were booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for robbery, attempted robbery, and
conspiracy to commit crime. Bond for release from custody was set at $200,000 for Tillman, and
$150,000 for Foster. Both suspects have prior arrest records.

The two men allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Alamo on February 17 shortly after 1 p.m. The
Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office broadcast a description of the vehicle associated with the robbery
to nearby law enforcement agencies.

“Danville police were able to identify a license plate associated with the suspect vehicle,” according to
a sheriff’s office news release. “Lafayette police also began searching for the suspect vehicle, and
witnessed an attempted robbery outside a bank.”

The attempted robbery occurred outside one of the three banks in downtown Lafayette, on the 3600
block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard. “The suspect ran to a waiting vehicle, which fled toward Lafayette
Circle.”

Shortly afterward, Lafayette officers found the vehicle unoccupied and parked on Lafayette Circle. The
officers located and detained Tillman and Foster, near East Street. A replica firearm was recovered
from inside one of the suspect’s backpack.

Other agencies that helped the sheriff’s office nab the suspects are the Concord, Moraga and Orinda
police departments. Another incident that may be connected to the same suspects is also being
investigated.

Investigations pertaining to Tillman and Foster remain ongoing. Anyone with information can contact
the sheriff’s office at 925-313-2600.
