Two Juveniles Arrested in Connection With January Shooting and Attempted Murder

WATSONVILLE,CA-“Two 17-year-olds have been arrested in connection with an attempted murder following an operation this morning.
Detectives, with the help of our local law enforcement partners, served several search warrants in connection with a late-night shooting on January 19 in the 1500 block of Freedom Boulevard, where a 17-year-old was shot.

The searches this morning happened in the 100 block of Ginos Court and the 100 block of Arthur Road. Freedom Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution. Additional warrants were served in Prunedale and Marina this afternoon.

During the operation, one gun was recovered, and two 17-year-olds were taken into custody. One is facing charges of attempted homicide after shooting into a car that night. While the second suspect was arrested on firearm-related charges. Both were booked into juvenile hall.”
