Suspect Identified in Fatal Shooting in Merced; Felony Arrest Warrant Issued
MERCED, CA — “The Merced Police Department has identified the suspect in a homicide investigation as Moises Reyes. Reyes is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Hispanic male that occurred on January 25, 2026. The victim suffered a gunshot wound and, despite life-saving efforts, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation determined the shooting stemmed from an altercation in the 1300 block of Stuart Drive. An active arrest warrant has been issued for Murder related to this incident.
