Madera Police Reportedly Confiscate Assault Rifle, Unregistered Gun; Man Arrested
MADERA, CA — JANUARY 7TH 2026
“Officers with the Madera Police Department were dispatched to the 900 block of Barnett Way for a disturbance.
During which, a firearm was brandished. Anthony Lopez (28) was identified as the suspect and a search warrant was authored for his home.
Multiple firearms and ammunition were seized which included an assault rifle and unregistered handgun.
Anthony was arrested for multiple felony firearm charges and booked at Madera County Jail.”
