Murrieta Special Enforcement Team Conducts Multi-Phase Investigation into Southwest Riverside County Resident
MURRIETA, CA — The Murrieta Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) recently concluded an investigation into a male suspected of distributing cocaine within southwest Riverside County. As part of the ongoing case, SET officers executed search warrants at several locations identified as belonging to the suspect. During the initial phase of the investigation, law enforcement recovered 1.2 pounds of powder cocaine, 3 pounds of processed marijuana, one ghost gun, one unregistered firearm, and $22,638.26 in United States currency. The suspect was subsequently arrested on three felony charges and booked into jail, though he secured release on bail the following day.
The Special Enforcement Team continued its investigation, identifying an additional location associated with the suspect. Detectives served a second search warrant at this site, resulting in the seizure of 2 pounds of processed marijuana, five rifles, three shotguns, and six high-capacity magazines. Furthermore, two motorcycles reported as stolen were recovered at the scene.
Analysis of the recovered motorcycles indicated that one was taken during a burglary in the City of Murrieta in January 2025. The second motorcycle was identified as having been stolen from Camp Pendleton. This discovery led to the notification of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) investigators, who have since reopened their investigation into the vehicle’s theft. Following the execution of the second warrant, the suspect was arrested again and booked into custody. He faces charges including four counts of possession of an assault weapon, possession of a ghost gun, possession of marijuana for sale, burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of stolen property.
