Redding Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting on Shadow Glen Drive

REDDING, CA — “On December 27th at around 8:09 p.m. the SHASCOM Dispatch Center received a phone call from a male who reported a shooting had occurred at a residence in the 5800 Block of Shadow Glen Drive. Redding Police Department Officers responded to the residence and located an adult female who was deceased.

Robert Cartee age 34, of Redding was contacted at the residence and was interviewed by Redding Police Department Detectives, regarding the circumstances of the shooting. Following the interview Cartee was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on a single charge of murder, 187(a)PC.

The victim in this investigation is not being identified currently, pending notification of the next of kin. This investigation is currently ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged to call the Redding Police Department Detective Division at 530-225-4214.”
