Man Arrested After Allegedly Throwing Rocks at Vehicles, Threatening Officers

HEALDSBURG, CA — “On December 17, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Healdsburg Police Department officers responded to a report of a male subject acting erratically at a bus stop in the 100 block of Healdsburg Avenue. The reporting party stated the individual was throwing rocks and debris at passing vehicles.

Officers arrived on scene and located the male seated at the bus stop. The individual was detained after officers observed erratic behavior. While being contacted, the man verbally berated officers and made vague threats toward them.

Officers were able to identify the individual and learned he had an outstanding felony warrant out of San Francisco. The man was subsequently placed under arrest.

Shortly after the arrest, a woman who had been sitting at the bus stop prior to officers’ arrival contacted police. She reported that the man had approached her while holding a large glass bottle and threatened to strike her with it, causing her to flee the area in fear. The woman stated the suspect then threw the glass bottle into the roadway. Officers observed large amounts of broken glass in the street consistent with her statement.

Officers also contacted the original reporting party, who confirmed the man had thrown rocks and debris at her vehicle as she drove past the area.

The suspect was identified as Taylor Hampton, a 29-year-old resident of Santa Rosa. He was transported to the Sonoma County Jail and booked on charges of 245(a)(PC- Assault with a Deadly Weapon and 23110(b) PC as well as his outstanding warrant- Throwing Objects at a Motor Vehicle.”
