Chino Police Apprehend Homicide Parolee Following Standoff in Los Angeles
CHINO, CA – On December 20, 2025, officers with the Chino Police Department responded to the 11500 block of Cambria Court following a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, authorities determined that the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Keiun Harris of Chino, had left the location. Harris was on supervised release for a prior homicide and was wanted in connection with a separate felony domestic violence case involving the same individual. Additionally, Harris had two active felony warrants from the City of Los Angeles regarding weapons charges and supervision violations.
On December 22, 2025, Chino Police detectives located Harris in the 3500 block of Whittier Boulevard in Los Angeles. When Harris entered a vehicle, detectives attempted to initiate an arrest by blocking his car. Harris reportedly accelerated in an attempt to displace the police vehicles but was unsuccessful.
Believing Harris to be armed, officers established a perimeter after he refused to exit the vehicle. The Chino Police Department, supported by the Los Angeles Police Department, utilized Armored Rescue Vehicles to contain the scene. Crisis negotiators worked alongside Harris’s family members during the standoff to encourage his surrender.
Harris eventually exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without further incident. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on charges including PC 273.5 (Domestic Violence), CVC 10851(a) (Vehicle Theft), and PC 30305(a)(1) (Felon in Possession of Ammunition). The Chino Police Department acknowledged the assistance of the Los Angeles Police Department in resolving the matter.
