Man on Probation Arrested in Sonora for Alleged Fentanyl Possession
SONORA, CA — “On December 6, 2025, officers with the Sonora Police Department were conducting a patrol check of the ARCO Gas Station on Highway 49 and Pesce Way. While conducting the area check, they contacted 39-year-old Robert Drechsler out of the Los Banos area.
Drechsler had felony warrants out of Tuolumne County, and was on probation. Dreschler was taken to the Tuolumne County jail for booking of those warrants. While at the jail, Dreschler had been in possession of suspected fentanyl in a hidden compartment in his clothing which was located by officers shortly after arriving.
Dreschler was booked for his three felony warrants, felony probation violation, and possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors, which is a felony enhancement under Proposition 36 that allows certain drug possession charges with prior convictions to be charged as felonies.
It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they’ve been charged with. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.”
