Hanford Man with Prior Felonies Arrested for Alleged Negligent Discharge of Firearm
HANFORD, CA — “On Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1816 hours, Dispatchers from the Kings County Sheriff’s Office began receiving numerous reports of gunfire around the 9500 Block of Eastview Drive, situated in the Home Gardens community. Callers provided information about a particular house from which the gunshots originated, details were relayed to the responding Deputies.
Upon their arrival in the vicinity, the Deputies promptly identified the residence mentioned by the 911 callers. They encountered a male later identified as 41-year-old Flavio Roberto Villa Aguilar, a resident of Hanford. The Deputies noted that he was wearing a black nylon satchel-style bag across his chest, which they recognized as being common for concealing a firearm. Their concern intensified when they observed numerous spent shell casings scattered across the front yard, some of which were located directly beneath where Flavio was initially contacted.
As the Deputies attempted to engage Flavio in conversation, he attempted to retreat into his home but returned after being instructed to do so multiple times. The Deputies then sought to search him for weapons; however, Flavio resisted and had to be physically restrained after he reached for the satchel on his chest. At this point, he was arrested without sustaining any injuries due to his resistance.
A search of the satchel revealed an unloaded Beretta PX4STORM 9mm pistol, which had the slide locked to the rear with an empty 10-round magazine inserted. A total of seventeen live rounds of 9mm ammunition were also discovered inside, and the brand of the live rounds found in Flavio’s satchel matched the brand of the spent casings located in the front yard.
An official record of arrests and prosecutions (RAP Sheet) indicated that Flavio is a convicted felon, which prohibits him from possessing firearms or live ammunition.
Flavio was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of live ammunition, negligent discharge of a firearm, and resisting or obstructing a Peace Officer. His bail was set at $85,000.”
