Ontario Resident Arrested Following Road Rage Shooting on I-10 Freeway

RANCHO CUCMONGA, CA — On December 4th, a reported road rage incident on Interstate 10 eastbound, in the vicinity of the Euclid Avenue off-ramp, resulted in gunfire between two vehicles. Law enforcement officials confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

Following the incident, officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Rancho Cucamonga Area and the CHP Inland Division Investigation Services Unit initiated an inquiry. This detailed investigation led to the identification and subsequent arrest of a 45-year-old individual residing in Ontario. The suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

During the course of the investigation, officers also executed an action at the suspect’s residence, where they located several firearms that were identified as both unregistered and illegal. The individual was booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. Charges filed against the suspect include attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of illegal firearms. The CHP has issued a statement advising motorists to maintain composure while operating vehicles and to immediately report any observed dangerous driving behavior to authorities.
