Law Enforcement Recovers Stolen Trailer, Three Felons Arrested on Weapon and Theft Charges in Buena Vista Stop
BUENA VISTA, CA — A stolen car trailer was recovered and four individuals were detained following a law enforcement stop at a gas station in Buena Vista on Tuesday, December 9, at approximately 6:30 PM.
An initial alert from a Deputy identified a stolen car trailer attached to a truck parked at the location. The Deputy, along with assisting officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and an Ione Police Officer, moved to detain the four occupants of the vehicle before they departed the gas station.
A subsequent search of the truck led to the discovery of a loaded semi-automatic handgun, which was located concealed within a Cheez-It cracker box in the vehicle’s bed. The search also yielded additional items, including drug paraphernalia, tools commonly associated with burglaries, ski masks, and bank cards suspected to be stolen.
Ultimately, two men and one woman from Manteca were arrested. All three individuals are identified as convicted felons. The charges include possession of stolen property, multiple firearm-related offenses, illegal narcotic charges, and several outstanding arrest warrants. The stolen trailer was secured by authorities and is pending return to its registered owner. The fourth occupant was reportedly detained but not included in the list of arrested individuals.
