Man on Probation Arrested for Alleged Possession of Ghost Gun, DUI
HANFORD, CA, CA — “On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at around 0212 hours, a Deputy Sheriff from Kings County was actively patrolling the vicinity of 8 ¾ Avenue and Carolyn Avenue. During this patrol, the Deputy noticed a vehicle parked in the center of the road with its engine running and headlights illuminated.
The Deputy parked his vehicle and approached the driver, who was identified as 25-year-old Gabriel Nicholas Bell, a resident of Hanford. It was quickly established that Gabriel was under the influence of alcohol. The Deputy asked Gabriel to exit the vehicle, and during a search, a loaded Smith & Wesson XD-9 handgun was discovered tucked in his jacket pocket. Gabriel was taken into custody without issue.
A records check indicated that Gabriel was a convicted felon and was currently on active felony probation in Kings County for possessing an undetectable firearm (Ghost gun).
Gabriel was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of live ammunition, possessing a loaded firearm in public, driving under the influence, and possessing a loaded firearm within a vehicle. Furthermore, the Kings County Probation Department was notified, leading to the revocation of Gabriel’s probation status, which made him ineligible for bail (No bail).
Gabriel’s vehicle was towed pursuant to his arrest, and the registered owner of the Smith & Wesson is being contacted to determine whether the firearm is stolen.”
