A street fight that erupted mid-morning in Camarillo on Nov. 10,  led to the
arrests of three men accused of “conspiring to carry out a pistol-whipping assault.”

Deputies were called around 9:30 a.m. to a witness’ report of a brawl in progress.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a 24-year-old Camarillo man battered and bleeding.

He told investigators he had “been outnumbered.” Early witness accounts and evidence at the scene
suggested a firearm had been used during the attack.

Detectives quickly joined the case because of the “violent nature of the crime.”

The ensuing investigation led to the determination that the victim was “struck in the
head with a pistol” by an unidentified attacker before he managed to break away and run.

Ultimately, detectives identified three suspects: Justin Preciado, 21, of Oxnard; Patrick Tuturice,
20, of Fillmore; and Ian Franco, 21, of Camarillo.

Search warrants were drafted in the days that followed. On Nov. 20, Preciado was taken into custody in Oxnard,
Tuturice was arrested in Camarillo, and Franco was detained at another Camarillo location.

He execution of the warrants “turned up evidence linking all three to the assault.”

All three were transported to Ventura County Jail, where Tuturice was booked on suspicion of assault with a
deadly weapon, assault likely to cause great bodily injury, and conspiracy.

Preciado and Franco were booked on suspicion of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and conspiracy.
