Teen Girl, 13, Reportedly Identified as Suspect in Fatal Shooting
POMONA, CA — “On Sunday, November 23, at about 5:22 PM, officers responded to the 1300 block of E. Pasadena Ave. regarding a victim of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Due to the nature of the incident, investigators from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and initiated an extensive investigation. During the course of their investigation, they identified a 13-year-old female as the possible perpetrator. She was taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Hall.
The motive for the crime is not yet known, and no additional information will be provided at this time.
