Two Suspects Arrested on Suspicion of Armed Robbery at Sac Car Show

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA  –– Nov. 27, 2025 — “The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects connected to an armed robbery that occurred at a car show in unincorporated Sacramento County on October 12, 2025.

During the event, the victim was confronted by a 17-year-old male juvenile.

The juvenile produced a knife, pressed it against the victim’s stomach, and forcibly removed a chain necklace from around the victim’s neck.

A second suspect, 25-year-old Joseph Barrera, stole the victim’s wallet containing multiple credit cards.

Both suspects fled the area in a vehicle and later used the victim’s stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at a local liquor store and a Taco Bell.

Sheriff’s Robbery Detectives were able to identify both suspects and obtained Ramey arrest warrants for the juvenile and for Barrera on robbery charges.

Yesterday (Nov. 25) morning, robbery detectives, and the Sheriff’s SWAT Team located and arrested both individuals.

The 17-year-old juvenile was booked into Sacramento County Juvenile Hall, and Barrera was transported and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is being held on $100,000 bail.”
