Deputies Arrest Gang Member Shooting at Vehicles in Broad Daylight in North Nighlands

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA — November 19, 20205 — “North Patrol deputies responded around 3 p.m. to reports of a man shooting at vehicles near Madison Avenue and College Oak Drive, in North Sacramento. Witnesses told Deputies the suspect had fled on foot after firing at a vehicle.

Deputies quickly established a perimeter, and with assistance from STAR and K9, located the suspect running near a nearby apartment complex.

He was detained after a brief struggle, and Deputies confirmed he was the shooter, utilizing nearby surveillance video.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

The suspect, 20-year-old gang member Dijah Williams, 20, of Antelope was arrested and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail.

He has been charged with being an addict in possession of a firearm, assault, possession of a weapon and gross negligence.

His booking photo will be released once he has been fully processed.”
