Visalia Police Operation Leads to Arrest, Seizure of Methamphetamine and Firearm
VISALIA, CA — November 12th 2025 — Visalia Police Department (VPD) teams recently executed an operation on the 1100 block of South Mountain Street on a recent Wednesday morning, leading to the arrest of an individual and the seizure of illegal items.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., VPD Narcotics and Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) teams were deployed to the location. The operation culminated in the arrest of 59-year-old Bobby Castaneda, who is a resident of Visalia.
During the execution of the warrant at the residence, investigators located and seized materials that included approximately two ounces of methamphetamine. The search also yielded ammunition and a .22-caliber firearm. Additionally, officers reported finding evidence consistent with drug sales activity.
Following his detention, Castaneda was transported to Kaweah Health for medical clearance, as is standard procedure. Subsequently, he was transported and booked into Tulare County Jail on felony charges.
The VPD has indicated that Castaneda is facing a “Tulare County felony special,” a classification for significant felony charges. The items recovered, including the narcotics and the firearm, will be processed as evidence in the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement officials emphasize the department’s continued focus on addressing narcotics activity within the community.
